Stereo Vhs
not an electronics genius, how do i connect my wii to this set of items?
Have an old tv that is connected directly to my DISH receiver, the DISH receiver is connected to our new Sony stereo receiver, also connected to the stereo receiver is a DVD player ( not directly but thru an RF modulator), and a VHS is connected to the stereo receiver. We have tried connecting the new Wii to the “video 1″ section of our new stereo receiver with the yellow plug to video in and the red and white to L and R but get no response from the Wii. No menu, nothing on the tv from the Wii. What are we doing wrong??? This new Sony receiver is called the control center so I believe its home theatre ready and should be able to control all these items. We want to play Wii for the first time. Need help getting connected.
Trouble shoot by connecting the wii to where the vcr is currently plugged into, assuming that the vcr works. The configuration that you described should work, however, always figure out what component is not working, the wii, the stereo, etc. If you are still running into problems, feel free to e-mail me through yahoo, and include the stereo’s model number.
Another common problem is selecting the correct input on the tv. Most stereos have both a yellow output, and a blue, red, and green output. Make sure that the yellow output is hooked up and that it is selected on the tv.
