Desktop Projector
How do you disable or turn off a second display without unplugging it from the back/side of a Mac?
I have a 24″ iMac that I am using as media PC. It is connected to my projector and home theatre system. When I want to watch something on the projector I turn mirroring on and the resolution on the iMac is drastically reduced to match that of the projector 1280 x 720 (which is fine). When I want to go back to using my iMac, however, the only choices I have are to use it in 1280 x 720 mode, or to use it in extended desktop mode where the desktop is extended to the projector screen (even if the projector is off). What I want to do is tell my iMac to ignore the second display all together. Disable it. Any ideas?
