Problem with my samsung home theater system?

Am owner of a home theater system Samsung HT-X40 DVD and just play in stereo mode. If I put it in otherwise, as a matrix or film. After about 5-10 minutes. will go out and say "protection" why is this? I check all cables. do not touch. Help. plz

If you are sure not to touch the speaker wires, then it is most likely something wrong with the receiver. There may be something (possibly a welded connection) on the unit that expands when heated, and touches something that should not and that goes out. Probably not worth repairing.
